INGREDIENTS

  • 5-10 lbs beef chuck roast (see servings below)
  • 6-12 cups water (see servings below)
  • 1 packet of Feliz Birria Seasoning

GARNISH

  • Corn tortillas
  • Chopped onions
  • Fresh cilantro
  • Lime
  • Cheese (if desired)

INSTRUCTIONS

  • Cut beef chuck roast into large chunks
  • For 10 servings: Use 5 lbs beef
  • For 20 servings: Use 10 lbs beef
  • Place the beef in a large pot, and add the designated amount of Feliz Birria Seasoning
  • Add water:
  • For 10 servings: Use 6 cups water.
  • For 20 servings: Use 12 cups water.
  • Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, then reduce to a simmer. Cover and cook for about 2 hours, or until the beef is tender and easily shreds with a fork.
  • Remove beef and shred it. Serve in warm corn tortillas with onions, cilantro, lime, and cheese, or enjoy as a stew.
